Freya Dalgleish has been involved with music all her life. She grew up in a musical home and first had piano lessons at four years old. Freya participated in choirs and learned classical voice throughout primary and high school. Initially wanting to become an opera singer, she eventually decided she preferred to sing and play the many songs that she had been writing herself. Freya learned ukulele, guitar and piano and has been a performing musician and songwriter ever since.
Freya completed a Masters degree in Music Therapy in 2009, and has a wealth of experience using music to connect, engage, and teach people from all walks of life, including young children.
After taking some time to focus on performing, recording and writing with bands, the births of her nephew and niece rekindled a love of early music teaching. Freya is happy to be back working with young children and sharing her love of music with children and carers in Mini Maestros classes.
