Kitty Skeen

Kitty became a member of the Mini Maestros family in late 2015 as the owner and teacher of the Bendigo franchise. Her connection to the program dates back to 2013 when she attended classes in Macedon with her son, who enjoyed the classes almost as much as she did!

Kitty holds a Bachelor degree in Music and postgraduate qualifications in English Literature and Education. She worked for a number of years as a high school music teacher, and in arts administration prior to the arrival of her two children. Kitty has been singing all her life, and especially enjoys the social connections of choral singing and musical theatre. She also plays oboe and now has a new love for ukulele.

Kitty feels so lucky that she can combine her love for music and for children into one special package and can never quite call it ‘work’. She is excited to introduce a whole new generation of children to the joys of music. Some of Kitty’s greatest personal achievements have involved music (performing at Disneyland California, in New York City at  Carnegie Hall, as backup for John Farnham), and hopes that some of your children’s best memories will involve music too.

Kitty teaches all classes in Bendigo and works for the Macedon Ranges and Sunbury franchise in their Early Learning Centres.
