Melissa’s passion for creativity began early in her childhood. Her father’s love of music was a staple in her home life while her mother, a children’s librarian, introduced her to the joys of imaginative play and story time.
Melissa’s creative upbringing continued into her teen years where she discovered her love for singing, taking up six years of classical vocal training and eventually performing as both an alto and a soprano in choirs Concordis Chambre Choir and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Choral Ensemble.
She went on to complete a Bachelor of Fine Art with a focus on sound and performance art.
Melissa has always been interested in the therapeutic powers of music and art. Having informed so much of her own development Melissa has chosen to pursue e a career working creatively with children and youth. Melissa worked as a mentor and creative facilitator for Girls Rock! before joining the teaching team at Mini Maestros.
Melissa is currently completing her Masters in Child Play Therapy alongside her Mini Maestros teaching. Melissa also works as an electronic music producer/song-writer under the alias Arrom and is signed to the Sydney label Provenance Records.
