Rosie Cocklin

Rosie grew up surrounded by a musical family, singing and performing in choirs and musical theatre from a young age. She began her formal musical journey on piano, dabbled with guitar and eventually found voice as her main passion. Pursuing this, Rosie completed a Bachelor of Music with Honours at the University of Melbourne majoring in Performance (Classical Voice) in 2017. She has performed across Melbourne and regional Victoria with organisations such as Opera Scholars Australia, Victorian Youth Opera and Victorian Opera.

Rosie has always had a love of sharing music with others, teaching private and group singing, piano and small ensemble lessons since 2013.
She has also relished her involvement in amateur theatre groups mentoring, directing and overseeing musical direction of plays and musicals alike. While spending a great deal of time in the classical world, Rosie has an eclectic taste in music and is comfortable across many styles ranging from Musical Theatre/Broadway, to blues and folk – any singing is her kind of singing!

Firm in her belief that music is not only a fun and engaging past-time, but moreover a powerful tool to increase people’s overall health and well-being, Rosie is currently studying a Masters of Music Therapy at the University of Melbourne.
