Tara has been performing since the age of six as a singer and actor. She’s been heavily involved in independent theatre and musical theatre, finding her love for singing in high school and being part of choir and an a capella singing group for many years.
Tara studied a Bachelor of Performing Arts/Music at Monash University in 2006 and Acting at 16th Street Actors Studio in 2011.
In 2013 she co-founded Sausage Dog Productions, who created and toured shows for children in schools and festivals including Adelaide Fringe Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2014 and 2015.
In 2016 Tara moved to London where she created and toured a one woman show to festivals around the world. She also toured sensory puppetry shows to children’s hospices around the UK with Christmas For Kids in 2017 and 2018.
Tara has a certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care, and has worked in early childhood and after school care settings as well as as a children’s birthday entertainer.
Tara is so happy to be joining the Mini Maestros team and combining her skills and love of music, performance and working with children. There is nothing better than seeing the joy in children as they engage in something creative. Music is a pathway to the heart and our creativity and an essential part of our social and cognitive development.
