COMMON MISTAKE = ‘‘Inducing
vomiting to prevent poisoning"
This is a commonly held conception but it can actually
be quite dangerous. Causing your child to vomit, or even attempting to
do so, runs the risk of blocking or burning your child’s airway. The
safest option is to find out what they have ingested and how much,
before calling your local emergency number for specific advice.
