Don't Stop The Music

ABC Series - "Don't Stop The Music"

We recently had the pleasure of interviewing Dr Anita Collins for an edition of Heart.Beat. If you missed it, you can read it here. Dr. Collins appears in the brilliant new ABC series, "'Don't Stop the Music."

The series is about a school principal who joins forces with musical experts, such as Dr Collins and a singing superstar, on a mission to transform the lives of disadvantaged Aussie kids through the power of music.

If you haven't yet watched it you can catch up with the three episodes on iView here:

The Power Of Music

The Power of Music - New BFFs

This is Willow & Logan from Tiffany Burley's 2-3 year old class in Tyabb at The Hungry Peacock. They have become best friends since attending music class together from Term 2.

Willow decided to sit on a log outside class to wait for Logan's arrival before coming in to music together. It's nice to know such a special friendship has been formed at music.

Willow celebrated her 3rd Birthday in class last week. Logan's favourite song is "I am a fish" which everyone danced to in class.

New Baby

New Mini Maestros Baby

Many of you reading this will know the friendly voice of Monika, the Mini Maestros Accounts Manager, who often answers the phone at Head Office. Monika has recently brought the newest Mini Maestro into the world - Indi Elizabeth. We all wish them both the very best for their journey through life together. Here are some words from Monika about the experience.

"Hello everyone! Please meet my baby girl Indi who entered our world on Wednesday, 24th October 2018 at 7:02pm. Indi is a teeny 2.5kg and 48cm long. She is inquisitive and curious and seems to be a little old lady with an old soul. I have never felt love like this before. She is more than I ever imagined. I am so overwhelmed with emotion. What I feel for my girl is pure magic."

New Franchise Hornsby

New Sydney Franchise - Hornsby

We are excited to welcome David Morgan to the Mini Maestros family. He is opening Mini Maestros classes as part of his existing music school "Morgan Music Academy" in Hornsby, Sydney. We asked David how he was feeling about starting up a Mini Maestros Franchise, this is what he had to say.

"I’m really excited about bringing Mini Maestros to Sydney. I’ve already had positive responses from parents who are looking for fun music learning and experiences for their children, and am looking forward to seeing them develop. I love the strong musical education that the program offers and see the benefits whether children continue in formal music training or not. And it’s presented in a very fun way so parents with no musical background will be able to join in. As a new dad, I see in my daughter how music is a natural and fun part of life, and love seeing children discover the joy in creating music."

Mini Maestros Moments

Mini Maestros Moments

Penny is a natural performer. She arrives at her Mini Maestros classes each week very excited and ready to go! You will often find Penny dancing in the middle of the circle during activities, so when it came time to start preparing for the concert, Maddy (her Mini Maestros teacher) could see she was immediately giving it her all! In class, they have been working on using their big singing voices for ‘Miss Polly Had a Dolly’ and flying their bumblebees around in ‘Bees Up High’. Penny’s active personality really shines through in this activity as she stretches up high and crouches down low to match the pitch in the music. Maddy said it was fantastic seeing Penny perform alongside all her classmates at this year’s Mini Maestros concert to celebrate a wonderful year of music and growth!
