Heart.Beat. Newsletter. Start of Term 1. 2020.

Inter-Generational Music Making, $1500 of Coupons, Lots of New Venue Days, and Much More in this Bumper Edition of Heart.Beat!

Welcome back to a new year of music & movement. It has been a difficult start for many of us, affected by the fires and devastation to a beloved part of our country. Our hearts have been with all of the people, places and animals impacted.

We hope that 2020 is a year of community connection, learning, development and magical musical moments in our classes.

During Term 1 we welcome many new students to our program as parents make the decision to share the love of music with their children. They soon find out why so many children, parents and carers love Mini Maestros! Read what happens in Term 1, or watch the video below.

Classes are filling up fast so be sure to book your place as soon as possible to get your desired time and location.

Diving Deeper

Inter-Generational Music Making = Strengthening Friendships Through Songs and Dance by Jo Irwin, Macedon Ranges Franchisee.

Recently the ABC aired a unique social experiment that brings together elderly people in a retirement community with a group of 4-year-olds. Old People’s Home For 4 Year Olds is a five-episode series available to watch now on ABC iview.

Mini Maestros Macedon Ranges is proud to be associated with Our Village Family Childcare and Lion's aged care Intergenerational Playgroup.

We have been strengthening friendships through songs and dance on a Friday morning for over 18 months now and value the special opportunity that our weekly music sessions bring to families in our region. The children and their grand-friends at the Lion's aged care have built relationships that have allowed both generations to foster their community connections.

A big congratulations to Monique Cavanough and Travis from Elwood, the winners of "The Lost Lands Festival" competition we ran last year.

Here is a great photo of the family enjoying the festival.

We are happy to hear you all had a lovely time.

In the lead up to the start of the school many parents’ hearts are torn between wanting their children to stay little forever and wanting them to grow so that they may start building their life ahead. To help support, Kiddipedia have created a Back To School Guide as a resource to assist parents through expert information and advice.

3MBS Fine Music Melbourne invites children aged 4-11 and their grownup companions to Beethoven’s Birthday Party!

During this fun and educational 45-minute children’s concert, you and our youngest music lover will meet Beethoven and his musical friends as they perform some of his most recognisable and loved masterpieces, including Moonlight Sonata, Ode to Joy and Symphony No. 5 (1st movement). Led by Artistic Director Chris Howlett children will have the chance to conduct the ensemble, join in a sing-along, and contribute their artistic talents to Beethoven’s community canvas. Afterward, families will have the opportunity for photos with Beethoven and his friends.
