Heart.Beat. Newsletter. Start of Term 3. 2020.

Welcome to Term 3! In class wherever possible AND online AND Zoom!

Term 3 in-person classes are back in Geelong, Gisborne in Victoria and Hornsby in New South Wales. All other locations are offering our Term 3 Online Courses. Some local teachers are also offering Zoom lessons in addition to the Online Courses. Check our Find a Class page to see what is on offer at your preferred location and to make an enquiry with your local teacher.

We will return to all other in-person classes as soon as possible, wherever possible. Our in-person classes will be conducted in accordance with the Mini Maestros COVID-19 Safe Classes Protocol. Every in-person class enrolment also receives the Online Course.

Online Courses

Our Online Courses offer you and your young child a wealth of opportunities for learning, discovery, development and fun together.

Each week’s activities are specifically chosen and practised to teach you how to nurture aspects of your child’s development, such as language acquisition, speech development, auditory processing, motor skills, focusing and steady beat.

You are your child’s best educator and your voice is your child’s favourite voice in the world! Our Online Courses will teach you how to confidently and actively engage with your child through singing and speech, instrument playing, and dance and movement to nurture their learning in these vitally important early years.

Our Online Courses include access to online learning materials to help you make the class activities part of daily life for you and your child.

Read more about our Online Courses here.

Zoom Classes

While parts of Victoria are in lockdown, some teachers are offering live classes via Zoom in addition to our Online Course. The weekly Zoom lessons provide a valuable opportunity to connect with your teacher and other families and children, ensure continuity of learning, and give some much-needed structure to the weeks. Enquire with your local teacher on the Find a Class page.

In-Person Classes

We have developed detailed processes in accordance with Government guidelines and medical advice to ensure our in-person classes will be operated as safely as possible. Read our COVID-19 Safe Classes Protocol. Important changes include that there will be no sharing of instruments. We’ll be asking you to bring your own shaker and tapping instrument and the occasional soft toy to class. Also, as the number of people in each class including children must be strictly controlled according to the size of the classroom, siblings will be required to enrol if they are to attend class.

Enrolments for Term 3 are open. Contact your local Maestro via our Find a Class Page for further information about Term 3 classes, local pricing, to enquire or to enrol.

What Happens in Term 3?

Term 3 is a turning point in the year, where we see many students have break-throughs in class in their learning and development, as they continue to develop with confidence and increasing independence.

Children will continue to extend their musical skills through a range of activities, many of which are centered around the themes of Animals and Transport.
