Heart.Beat. Newsletter. Start of Term 2. 2021

We’re right back into the swing of things for Term 2 and enjoying being back in class in person.

If you weren’t already aware, all Term 2 students enrolled in the full term also gain access to our Online Course as part of your enrolment! This is so your child won’t miss out if your child, you or even your teacher is unwell. Of course you can also access the classes for extra fun and learning at home between your in-person lessons! Login to your Mini Maestros online classes here.

What Happens in Term 2?

Things start to settle in Term 2 as the children pick up from the skills they developed in Term 1 and get to take their confidence to the next level. Meanwhile we have many new students continuing to join us through the term.

In Term 2 singing voices are stronger, and more class participation can be expected as confidence grows. If you want to support your child even more to achieve the learning outcomes in Term 2, you could do some sessions at home between in-person classes with the Online Course.

To learn more about the different age groups and what they are doing in Term 2 you can watch the video above or read this article.

Meet Our Franchisees

Meet Our Franchisees

Sisters Alison Cusack (pictured left above) and Linda Repic (pictured right above) are the co-owners/operators of Craigieburn & Mickleham. We asked these lovely ladies a few questions so you can get to know them better and this is what they had to say.

Question 1: Assuming you already have food and water, what 3 things would you take to a deserted island?

ALISON: "My dog - because he's always so happy, so being on a deserted island would never be lonely. My family photo album. A blanket - because I can't stand to be cold!!"

LINDA: "If my family isn't allowed I would take my pillow, I take my pillow everywhere. A blanket. Sunscreen!"

Fun Music Facts

Fun Music Facts

Brought to you from our friends at 3MBS.

When you hear the term woodwind, does it surprise you to learn that musical instruments in the woodwind family are not all made from wood? This family of instruments which including flutes, clarinets, bassoons, and oboes, sometimes have instruments made out of plastic or metal, not just of wood like the name suggests.
