Term 3 is a turning point in the year; we see many students achieve break-throughs in class in their learning and development as confidence and independence grows.

Children will continue to extend their musical skills through a range of activities, many of which are centred around the themes of Animals and Transport.

READ MORE HERE about what the different age groups are up to or watch the video above.

A friendly reminder not to come to class if you or your child are unwell. Please remember every full enrolment in an in-person class during 2021 also receives our Online Course for the relevant Term. If you are unable to attend class for any reason or if we are unable to present a class due to the teacher being unwell or any other COVID-19 related reason, then the relevant lesson in the Online Course will take its place.

Socialising

Why is Socialising Important?

Socialisation in the early years starts from the moment children are born, and through a sound, an action, or even a facial expression! Whether in-person or online, Mini Maestros supports your child’s social development and aims to keep us connected.

Here are 7 More Reasons Why Socialising is so Important.

1. Exposure to New Situations

2. Language Development

3. Teaching Versatility

4. Building Confidence

5. Learning Social Cues

6. Cognitive Development

7. Forming Friendships

Meet The Franchisees

Kate Howard is the owner/operator of the Frankston/Langwarrin franchise. We asked Kate a few questions so you can get to know her better and this is what she had to say.

Question 1: Assuming you already have food and water, what 3 things would you take to a deserted island?

1- My craft box, you never know when you might have to make a puppet or do a painting.

2- Google Home - I know there might not be electricity, but I’m always asking it questions - and I guess it would be good company. :-)

3- I know you said there was food, but I think I’d have to take some chocolate just in case. READ FULL INTERVIEW.

Kate has written an interesting article about the importance of making time for play and learning through play.

Curious Music Facts

Curious Music Facts
Brought to you by 3MBS.

Indigenous Australian composer Deborah Cheetham has written two whole operas. Operas are one of the hardest things to write because they don't just have music to think about, but costumes, lighting, acting, and singing! Her first opera is called Pecan Summer and her second opera is called Parrwang Lifts the Sky.

Listen to an excerpt from “Pecan Summer” here.

"Mini Maestros Moment" of the Month

We were sent in some fantastic "Mini Maestros Moments" this month, it was hard to choose our favourite. But we were very impressed with this class photo showing a glorious view behind Tiff Burley's Safety Beach class. Yes, it is real! It just goes to show how engaging Mini Maestros lessons are, because the children don’t even notice how stunning the backdrop is! If you have a moment to share, reply to this email and attach the image or video.
