Question 1: Assuming you already have food and water, what 3 things would you take to a deserted island?

  1. A good book
  2. My snorkel
  3. A hat (if I could sneak in some sunscreen, I’d take that too!)

Question 2: Who is your favourite band/musician at the moment?

I absolutely love ‘The Waifs’ and have done for over 20 years now. I have seen them live many times and they always feature on any Spotify list I put together – my kids now sing along heartily to “Lighthouse’. I just adore their folk music style and storytelling lyrics.

Question 3: What superpower would you like to have and why?

I would love to be able to be in more places than just one. Like many working mums, I often feel torn in lots of different directions and feel sad when I am not able to make it to a special event for my kids. Being able to be in multiple places would make it possible for me to work, get to all the special events and maybe even have a version of myself at home in my PJs watching Bridgerton – then everyone would be happy!!

Question 4: What are 3 pieces of advice you would give to a child as they embark on their life’s journey?

  1. Have a go! You will never find the things you love most if you don’t give them a try. Sometimes we feel scared or unsure when faced with something new but if we can take that first step and have a go, then we might just find one of those most special moments in life.
  2. Kindness really is cool… it’s not just something written on a t-shirt. When we treat others, the world and even ourselves with kindness, so much good comes from it.
  3. When all else fails, turn up the volume. There is nothing quite like the power of a great song when it’s really pumping.

Question 5: What’s the best thing about being a Mini Maestros Franchisee?

I love how no two days are ever the same. Every day in every class unique, one off, special moments happen and these just fill my heart. We really are so fortunate to spend our days making music with little people who simply fill the room with fun, laughter and joy!
